At St Luke’s Hamilton, we believe we are sent to show God’s love – read on to see how we are connecting with the community – in and around our neighbourhood, with the wider church and beyond.
Mission in our Community – Connecting Our Communities Project
We support Chaplaincy at our local primary school
- fundraising through events such as Trash and Treasure mornings and Hymnfests
- participating in the local chaplaincy committee
- attending school functions
- involving the children in special projects
We care for our aged care neighbours at Merriwee Court:
- sharing the activity hall facility
- inviting residents and staff to special events
- remembering residents at special times
We participate in neighbourhood life:
- Hamilton Neighbourhood Hub
- supporting local business – eg: holding planning meetings in local coffee shops
- North Brisbane Ecumenical Committee and events
- World Day of Prayer (hosts in 2022)
- Pinking up our garden for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Weekly sit down morning tea is a place for delicious tea, coffee, food and conversation…. A spiritual refreshment in a friendly environment.
We support each other and belong to the wider church:
